AI features notice
In short. The SiriON voice assistant turns a booking you dictate into appointment details. Your phone's speech recognition turns your voice into text, and the text is sent to Google's Gemini service to pick out the details. You check and confirm everything before it is saved. We do not store the audio or the dictated text. You can turn the assistant off at any time.
1. What the voice assistant does
1.1 You tap the microphone and say something like "Book Ananya, tooth 12, tomorrow at 3 pm". The assistant fills in the patient, date, time, procedure, tooth number and other booking details it hears. It is only for booking appointments. It does not give clinical advice or make clinical decisions.
2. What data is used, and where it goes
| Step | Data | Who processes it |
|---|---|---|
| You speak | Audio from your microphone, only while the assistant is listening | Your phone's speech recognition: Apple on iPhone, Google or your phone maker on Android. Depending on your phone and settings, the audio may be processed on their servers under their privacy terms. |
| Your speech becomes text | The dictated text | Your phone, then our server |
| Booking details are extracted | The dictated text and the current date and time | Google LLC through the Gemini API, called from our server |
| You review | The details Gemini found, shown on your screen | Your phone |
| You confirm | The details you accept are saved as an appointment | Our servers, as part of your records |
2.1 Your list of patients is not sent to Gemini. When the assistant hears a name, SiriON compares it with your patients on your phone and on our servers. If two patients fit, it asks you which one you meant.
3. What we keep and what we do not
3.1 We do not store the audio of your dictation.
3.2 We do not store the dictated text. Only the booking details you confirm are saved.
3.3 We keep a count of how many times you used the assistant and its technical size, to apply your plan's monthly limit.
3.4 We use the Gemini API under Google's paid service terms. Under those terms Google does not use the content to improve its products and keeps it only for a limited period to detect misuse and meet legal duties.
4. Results can be wrong
4.1 Speech recognition and AI can mishear names, numbers and dates. Check every detail on the review screen before you confirm. You are responsible for what you save.
5. Your choice
5.1 The voice assistant is optional. You are asked to agree to this notice before you use it for the first time.
5.2 To stop using it, go to Settings, Legal and policies, Permissions and turn the voice assistant off. We then stop sending your dictations to these services. You can turn it on again later by agreeing to this notice again.
5.3 You can also remove the app's microphone or speech recognition permission in your phone's settings.
6. Other AI features
6.1 The voice assistant is the only feature in SiriON that uses an AI model. If we add another, we will update this notice and ask for your agreement before it is used.
